Oh, hello

alcoholicgifts:

I try to keep these things on my personal blog, but I would still appreciate if I could have a minute of your time. Going to the dentist fills me with a lot of anxiety, so it’s been a while since I’d gone. I recently went to a new dentist for an exam and mentioned some pain I was having, and after taking x-rays he told me that I really needed a deep cleaning, as well as antibiotics for an infection in my gums. The best part of all? I have state appointed dental coverage. The worst part of it all? It doesn’t cover anything I actually need, so I have to pay for it all out of pocket. The deep clean runs $200 (which, according to the denti-cal employee I spoke to, would be covered if I were pregnant or just had a baby in the last six months!), and the antibiotic shots will cost $1800 (which, according to the denti-cal employee, are covered if the infection is discovered during the deep cleaning!) which is what they want to do first to get rid of the infection.

So I really need your help. I am gonna call the dental office tomorrow and see if I can manage to get them to do the DC first and THEN “discover” the infection. If that works, I’ll only need the $200. If not, then unfortunately I’ll be in desperate need of the full $2k, so watch this space. I’m hoping to have this done in the next two weeks just so I can rest up and any swelling I may have can come down before I go back to school September 2nd. Please give if you can (via the donation link on my blog or my paypal email ronda714@yahoo.com), boost like crazy if you can’t, and prepare to get sick of seeing this post at least until I can hit my goal, tbh!
